Falcon IT is offering an unpaid internship where you’ll work directly alongside a senior systems engineer with decades of enterprise-level experience in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to learn from an industry expert and develop practical skills in troubleshooting, system upgrades, and cybersecurity.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be hands-on with a variety of IT tasks, including:
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues (break/fix work).
- Performing system maintenance and updates.
- Installing and configuring software and hardware.
- Assisting with network setups and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Supporting basic cybersecurity practices like antivirus updates and firewalls.
- Helping with backups, data recovery, and file management.
- Providing remote support using IT management tools.
- Setting up and maintaining printers, routers, and other devices.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
- Comfortable building and disassembling computers.
- Familiar with basic IT tech services common in residential settings.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for tasks like setting up equipment or moving hardware.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Comfortable with hands-on work, including troubleshooting and device setup.
Desired Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or completed an undergraduate degree in a tech-related field like computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity.
- Holds certifications such as A+, Network+, or Security+ from CompTIA.
- Passionate about technology and eager to learn.
- Willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
- Experience with setting up home networks or basic server configurations.
- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and macOS.
- Basic knowledge of mobile device support and configuration.
- Resides in the greater Falcon area or surrounding region.
