Computer Repair Tech Position
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused PC Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals for our diverse clientele. You’ll work both remotely and on-site to ensure our clients receive exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to optimize system performance and prevent future issues.
- Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure new hardware, software, and network systems.
- Networking: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless networks, to ensure seamless connectivity for clients.
- Remote and On-Site Support: Provide technical support both remotely and at client locations, adapting to varied environments and addressing needs efficiently.
- Customer Support: Communicate technical issues clearly to clients, providing guidance and ensuring satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided, including diagnostics, repairs, and client interactions.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to provide informed solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a PC Repair Technician or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues; familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as part of handling equipment and setups.
- Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking fundamentals, including experience with routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
